Empire Southwest Agrees to Acquire Arizona Production Machinery & Supply
Empire Southwest, LLC, announced that it has agreed to acquire the agricultural industry related assets of Arizona Production Machinery & Supply (APM&S), a Casa Grande, Arizona based agriculture machinery dealer. The acquisition will expand Empire’s current product line of Caterpillar and Challenger machines to include agricultural machines from AGCO, Claas, and Massey Ferguson, which now includes Hesston. APM&S owner and long-time industry professional, Tim Robinson, will become the General Manager of Empire’s Agricultural division.
"Empire has a longstanding commitment to the agriculture industry, and this greatly strengthens our ability to support it," said Jeff Whiteman, Empire Chairman and CEO. Mr Whiteman continued, "Our parts and service capacity and APM&S’ industry expertise are extremely well matched. Combined, they provide Ag professionals with a comprehensive, one-stop resource to provide unrivaled machinery and customer support to the Agricultural industry."
"Our focus has been to provide the professional agricultural client a quality product backed by the best parts and service support system available. We can now virtually guaranty our clients that we are always going to be a stable source of machinery, parts and services for the producers and growers in the southwestern region. Our family is looking forward to continuing our decades long standing tradition in the machinery business as we enter in to a new era of providing support to an even more diverse customer base. " said Tim Robinson.
The acquisition of Arizona Production Machinery & Supply by Empire Southwest, LLC is consistent with our strategy to strengthen our North American dealer network," said Alistair McLelland, Vice President Distribution Development, AGCO. "Empire and APM&S have been consistent high performers for AGCO for many years but integration will definitely benefit our customers and grow our business in the territory. Empire brings to the table unmatched parts and service capability and expansion capacity and APM&S adds industry expertise and exemplary history of customer focus; a winning combination."
"We are also pleased to announce," continued Mr. McLelland "that Empire has requested, and AGCO has approved, a new Empire Ag location in Blythe, California. This location will carry the Massey Ferguson, Challenger and Spra-Coupe(r) brands and will provide much needed local support for customers in this area. Details of this location will follow shortly from Empire." Chris Zaharis, Empire’s Executive Vice President said, "We are pleased that AGCO has demonstrated its confidence in Empire by granting us the territory in Blythe. We look forward to working with and supporting the agricultural community in the Blythe area."
As a result of these announcements, Empire will grow its facility coverage by adding stores in Casa Grande, Arizona and Blythe, California.
