S.O.S. at Empire

Scheduled Oil Sampling (S.O.S.) is a regular maintenance program developed by Caterpillar® to monitor the overall condition of all equipment types. Although it was developed by Caterpillar, we don’t just service Cat equipment or even just construction equipment. We complete oil, fuel and fluid analysis for all kinds of equipment owners and industries, including construction, mining, aviation, municipalities, personal/individual vehicles, marine, and many more…

In our oil analysis lab, our technicians are able to test a number of factors to gain a comprehensive picture of the health of your engine, transmission, powertrain and other wearable components. Oil sampling is recommended regularly and can depend on the application, hours, use, etc. If you’re unsure of what “regularly” is for your equipment, just give us a call, and we’ll work with you to provide a recommendation that works for your equipment needs.

Empire’s state-of-the-art oil, fuel and other fluid testing laboratory can evaluate more than 30 characteristics from a fluid sample, which can include:

We are proud to say that Empire’s oil and fluids testing laboratory has been ISO certified since 2009.

Certified Fleet Management Services

As the ISO organization explains regarding the benefits an ISO Certified company:

“ISO International Standards ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality… 9001:2008 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only standard in the family that can be certified to (although this is not a requirement). It can be used by any organization, large or small, regardless of its field of activity. In fact ISO 9001:2008 is implemented by over one million companies and organizations in over 170 countries.”
