Empire’s basic standby power generation is a one-day high-level overview of basic power generation operation. Learn how generators are tested and maintained in compliance with NFPA 110 and Joint Commission (Life Safety) requirements

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • BASIC ELECTRICITY & SAFETY: 
    Single and Three Phase Power Formulas
     
  • BASIC ENGINE: 
    Description of Diesel and Gaseous Fuel Engines and Components Including Air, Oil, Cooling, Exhaust, Fuel Systems and Governors
     
  • BASIC GENERATOR: 
    Components, Voltage, Frequency and Regulators
     
  • ENGINE GENERATOR CONTROL SYSTEMS: 
    Description of Start, Stop, Auto Start, Safeties, Alarms and Shut Downs, Controller Types.
     
  • ENGINE GENERATOR MAINTENANCE: 
    Inspection Check List, Oil, Fuel, Coolant Sampling, Load Banking.   

 

Registration: $449 per person and fee includes course presentation materials, refreshments and lunch.
