Power Systems Training

We know the importance of having your power generation systems well-maintained and operating efficiently to keep business running. Our training courses are designed to provide maximum benefit for teams. They offer a mixture of hands-on classroom presentations, demonstrations, and active operation and diagnostics using equipment in the shop and in the field.

After completing a course, you will understand how power systems operate and what actions you can take to maintain the reliability of your equipment. Learn more below and explore your options.

Our power training courses are designed for anyone involved with on-site power generation systems or working in any facility where an emergency power supply is absolutely critical.

Standby power generation training is a 3-day comprehensive class on the engine, alternator and transfer switch operation of the modern generator set. Generator maintenance schedules and periodic testing, basic troubleshooting, and NFPA Electrical and Life Safety will also be covered.

You’ll also learn:

  • Diesel Emissions
  • Power Distribution
  • Voltage Regulation
  • Generator Control Systems
  • Load Testing
  • Basic Electricity
  • Paralleling Operation
  • Renewable Energy

For students interested in applying the knowledge learned in the 3-day course, an optional 1-day immersive hands-on experience can be added, providing an opportunity to connect, operate, troubleshoot and load test a generator set. If interested, make sure to check the box on the sign up form.
