What Fluids Are Tested In Heavy Equipment?

Regularly testing fluids used in heavy equipment allows you to monitor your fleet's overall condition. Using experts that follow best practices when analyzing your samples will enable you to receive high-quality data for better issue detection.

At Empire, we provide reliable testing options and analysis for diesel, biodiesel, coolant, and oil samples from a diverse range of heavy equipment. With our world-class laboratory and expert diagnosticians, you can expect an exemplary equipment fluid testing process.

Benefits of Regular Fluid Analysis

Advantages of testing your equipment fluid on a regular basis includes:

Problem Detection: Fluid analysis provides detailed information about the presence of contaminants, such as dirt or metals, that can damage equipment.

Cost Savings: Early detection can help save extra spending that you would otherwise budget for major future failures.

Longevity: Prevention planning and routine checks can help increase equipment life span and production efficiencies.

Minimal Downtime: Fluid analysis provides insight into any equipment condition, potential issue details, and data that can help avoid breakdowns resulting in a halt of operations.

Oil Analysis Lab Services

With the information obtained from in-depth analysis, you can maximize the reliability and performance of your equipment by handling small problems before they become more severe issues. Taking this proactive approach reduces the overall cost of operating your equipment in the long run.

Coolant Analysis and Testing

Coolant analysis and testing is essential for limiting wear and tear on crucial systems and stopping breakdowns before they happen. Coolant analysis is an important tool when monitoring the health of critical engines.

While basic testing covers a diverse range of data points, you can opt for Level 2 to receive even more data about your coolant's condition.

Fuel Testing Services

Fuel testing for fuel purity and other markers highlight when your system is at risk of issues like leaks, clogged fuel filters, dilution, and contamination. Whether you want to know more about how your additives boost performance or need to verify that a piece of equipment in storage is ready for your next project, these tests confirm that your fuel supply is usable and your system is in good condition.

Empire is certified to analyze for Diesel Fuel and equivalent, Biodiesel (B100), and Biodiesel blends (for example, B5, B10, B20, B50). Routine diesel fuel analysis supports consistent quality. Empire Fluid Analysis provides test package options that adhere to industry requirements. Essential quality assurance ASTM D975 testing for #2 ULS Diesel and specification testing for biodiesel options are also available. When we receive samples, you can expect a target turnaround of 72 hours for FA1 test packages with printed or electronic results. Depending on your testing requirements, many test results can be available in less than 24 hours.

We  provide biodiesel quality analysis per ASTM D6751 and are capable of critical specification testing that identifies issues associated with biodiesel processing and blending. Referee and accepted ASTM alternatives such as Simulated Distillation and Calculated Cetane Index are available cost-effective options.
