BENEFITS OF SKID STEER AND COMPACT TRACK LOADERS
Shared features that provide versatility and cost effectiveness for any fleet.
Skid steers and compact track loaders take on various digging and material handling tasks and with the right attachments, they can do even more, like moving pallets, removing stumps, mulching, boring holes, cleaning a worksite and more. Learn more about the shared reasons of why owning a skid steer loader or compact track loader would benefit your business, then learn what their common uses are.
Comfortable Cab: Sealed, pressurized cabs keep the dust and heat out for added comfort even in the dry Southwest climate.
Ride Control: Create a smoother ride to keep more material in the bucket and reduce operator fatigue.
Intelligent Levelling System (ILEV): Enhance precision and productivity with features that help position your bucket or other attachments automatically.
In-Cab Display: Monitor equipment information and diagnostics with a built-in, easy-to-read display.
Operator-First Features: Cabs also have exceptional visibility and external noise control.
Cat Smart Attachments: This feature enhances the integration with attachments by automatically adapting controls when you switch to a new one.
COMPACT TRACK LOADER USES
The tracks on compact loaders enable smoother operation on soft, wet and uneven terrain. Track loaders work well in mud or loose gravel because the tracks distribute weight more evenly to increase traction. The even weight distribution reduces ground disturbance, making them ideal for work on finished surfaces. A few common uses include:
- Grading and backfilling on more difficult terrain
- Clearing dense brush and undergrowth with attachments
- Installing sod or maintaining golf courses
- Grading on soft or sandy surfaces
SKID STEER LOADERS USES
Skid steers are lightweight and easy to move, especially on hard surfaces like concrete or asphalt. The wheels create a zero-radius turning capability for working in confined areas, like inside buildings or in parking lots. Here are a few ways you might use a skid steer:
- Breaking up or removing old pavement or asphalt with an attachment
- Moving pallets, bricks or other materials in warehouses or supply yards
- Sweeping and cleaning parking lots and garages
- Loading and unloading trucks or trailers
