Internal Failure Testing
Cat XT hoses are tested at 1 million impulse cycles for internal failure (the applicable SAE standard is 500,000 cycles, the EN standard is 400,000).
Flex and Impulse Testing
In flex tests and impulse testing pressure on/off, from 0 pressure to 133% of maximum working pressure, hoses withstand a million repetitions.
External Damage Testing
Avoid external damage due to abrasion, hoses are tested according to ISO 6945; cycling hoses down to wire exposure using a steel block.
