Empire provides a comprehensive two-day course designed for service technicians to develop testing, troubleshooting, and servicing skills of operator compartment A/C systems. Service tooling, leak detection, refrigerant identification, lubricant choices, and temperature/ pressure relationships will be utilized to correctly service and troubleshoot heavy equipment A/C systems.

What You Will Learn:

• EPA approved recovery and recycling procedures
• Components of the air conditioning system and explain the function of each component
• Electrical control system of an AC system
• Flow of refrigerant through the system and system operation
• Proper procedures for connecting and disconnecting the A/C manifold gauge set
• How to interpret results of system temperature and pressure readings
• Basic troubleshooting techniques to locate and repair A/C system faults

Participants will complete the MACS 609 Certification exam, which will be sent in and graded by MACS Worldwide for approval of granting the 609 card and certificate. While Empire instructors teach on Cat equipment, the knowledge gained from the course can be applied to other heavy equipment manufacturers.
