Empire’s full-day course is designed for service personnel to gain the necessary knowledge and skills to perform correct preventive maintenance procedures. Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to identify the demands on today’s machines, fluids, filters, cooling systems, batteries, engines, powertrains and hydraulic systems.

What You Will Learn:

• Purpose of preventive maintenance
• Preventive maintenance inspection
• How to ascertain the proper fluids and filters for compartments
• Properties and functions of fluids and filters
• How to properly test and service the cooling system, batteries, and starting and charging systems
• How to inspect and adjust/replace belts and hoses
• Proper procedures for obtaining oil samples
• How to correctly interpret S.O.S. sample results
• Contamination control

While Empire instructors teach on Cat equipment, the knowledge gained from the course can be applied to other heavy equipment manufacturers.
